Geocache Description:

A quick and easy hike up this little peak, just inside the Cape Point Nature Reserve. The peak itself appears to have no name, although it may simply form part of Rooihoogte.

Park at the first car park on your left, about 800m from the main gate, at S34° 16.020 E018° 27.845. From here, follow the foot path, starting in the North West corner of the parking area, or back track along the road to the trailhead, S34° 15.987 E018° 27.778.

Follow this trail as it winds upward, eventually reaching a junction with the trail coming up from the main entrance, an alternate starting point, and continue heading up and over the first small koppie. When you reach S34° 15.980 E018° 27.459, where the path turns and begins to dip down, head off the main path in the general direction of the cache. The growth here is not very dense, so it is easy to make you way using faint animal tracks, run off channels and the rocks to avoid trampling the fynbos.

The cache is hidden a few meters from the large cairn.

You can now return the way you came, or continue along this trail all the way to Olifantsbos, across the Smitswinkel Flats via Sirkelsvlei, passing several caches along the way.
