Geocache Description:

Due to our fist cache going missing so quickly we are trying again!

It is hidden a small way off from the river loop walk and is now a bigger box.

This is our first cache which the children wanted to hide and keep track of it themselves, so hopefully we have got it right!

This path is the River Loop part of the Winton Walk. The water here is known locally as Norman's Pool, but the kids tend to call it Pebble Island. It is where the Birns Water and the River Tyne converge.

The path can be accessed from a private road that runs between the old limekilns of a former limestone quarry. It is possible to park at the end of this road for a quick cache and dash. But its very pleasant to do all the walks, either on foot, by bike and with small children and buggys.

The cache is in a new place after been muggled.

This cache can be combined with Lodainn an Ear's Winton Loop and Pencaitland Railway Walk caches
