Geocache Description:


As I was out and about checking out some cache locations near camp, I noticed what wonderful views of the Kennebec River there were along this stretch of road. After checking out some nearby caches I discovered that there were very few caches along the road. I thought that this would be a great opportunity for people to get a good look at the mighty Kennebec (Abenaki for large body of water) while traveling along the Old Canada Road Scenic Byway.

There are seventeen caches total in this series. Most of them are park and grab micros right on the road. A few are a little larger and at least one is a little further off the road. All of the caches are located either at a road side pull off or nearby. The caches run by number from north to south.

I hope you enjoy finding this series as much as I did placing them. Take a few minutes and take in the beauty that is the Kennebec River.

Caches: Micros with log and pencil only. Check the cache page as one might be larger or require more effort than the standard park and grab. Most of the caches are attached with a tether. Please use care when removing them.
