Geocache Description:

Ramos Park, Palo Alto CA --

Well here’s US6's first Cache ever placed. It's a MICRO so remember to bring a Pencil or Pen with you. You might also need a little something to help you pull the log out. Maybe a bent paper clip. You’ll probably want to snag it and walk off to another area to make your entry and come back to replace it, especially if you come during the day. Remember to roll up the log and put it in the lid, then screw the lid back onto the larger end.

I'm not a big fan of micro's but you should have no problem finding this one. Just watch for the Muggles of all ages, take your time, use your Geosuaveness and you'll be able to snag this one and put it back with no one knowing...

Ramos Park is a small park I walk though at Lunch each day and I thought I'd check to see if there was a Cache nearby. Alas there seems to be one at the other end of the park that’s not active at the moment, so I thought I’d add this one to the mix and see how long it will last. As stated above, this will test your Geosuaveness during the day as there can be a large number of Muggles of all ages in the area. I placed it just before 9am and there was only one person near by…

Don Jesus RAMOS Park is located at 800 East Meadow Drive in Palo Alto, CA.
It's an approximately 4.4 acre neighborhood park with an abundance of open space for a variety of recreational activities. Typically you'll find young ones playing here a maybe a small soccer game on the field at lunch time as well.

The park has large open grassy area, children’s playground, picnic area with barbecues, benches, path around park, multi-purpose concrete slab with a basketball hoop.

Ramos Park opened in 1958 as part of a plan to develop more recreational space south of Oregon. It was first named Meadow Park after the tract of land that it was part of. Now it is named after Don Jesus Ramos, a native of Mexico who came to California in search of gold. He arrived in the Mayfield area in 1851 and in 1883 bought a couple of acres of land and built a house at 727 Page Mill Road. Here he lived with his family until his death in 1912.
