Detta är den första cachen i en serie av fina rastplatser
som
erbjuder grillning i Älvdalens Finnmark
Vansjön är sammanbunden med Vanån, som fortsätter ned till
Vansbro
där den rinner ut i Västerdalälven.
Cachen ligger vid en Slogbod.
Dessa karaktäristiska grill & vindskydd användes förr i tiden
vid slåttern, därav namnet.
Passa på att ta en paus och kanske grilla lite innan jakten på nya
cacher fortsätter!
This is the first cache that will give you some good rest and
barbecue places in this area,
called Finnmarken ( Finnish settlement land)
The lake Vansjön is connected to Vanån, a stream that runs all the
way
down to Vansbro about 100 km south
where it departs out in Västerdalälven, one of Dalecarlias two
rivers.
The cache is hidden close to a Slogbod, a shelter typical for this
area.
In the old days these shelters was used during the harvest, and the
Swedish name slogbod means just "harvest shelter"
