This cache isn't very difficult to find, but be careful of terrain because it could get a bit slippery if the area is wet. It's a fairly easy find, but you'll have to reach under something to get it.
There is free 20-minute parking available in the lot nearest to the Union Garage. Just take a ticket and place on your dash.
This cache is one of nine in the Baltimore Collegetown series. The series is designed to connect the many colleges in the Baltimore area and highlight some of their landmarks and historical features. (Note: Each cache in the series can be done in any order)
Towson U - This university was originally a training school for teachers in Baltimore, and over the years it has expanded and evolved into a 4-year degree granting institution consisting of 8 colleges with over 20,000 students enrolled. It's had several name changes starting with "Maryland State Normal School." It then became "Maryland State Teachers College at Towson," "Towson State College," "Towson State University" and finally Towson University.
This cache is located near the John B. Schuerholz ballpark named for John Schuerholz, a 1962 Towson graduate and former baseball player for his contributions to Towson.
The container is a circular tin and has a purple lid.
