MSCSA 2010 was placed during a conference of the Mountain States College Store Association. This group of college bookstores consists of institutionally owned and operated stores throughout Utah and southeastern Idaho.
It's a fairly easy cache located near Daniel's Summit Lodge. Do not stop on the highway. Park in the Daniel's Summit Lodge parking lot and take a short walk.
The Mountain States College Store Association (MSCSA) meets every summer at Daniel's Summit Lodge for our summer retreat. We come to learn from each other and to relax. It's a great opportunity to share ideas and to discuss the challenges we all share at our respective institutions.
The association consists of colleges and universities from Utah and southeastern Idaho. I represent Brigham Young University in nearby Provo, Utah. (Go Cougars!)
As part of our fun this year, I was asked to do a session on Geocaching. I was happy to do it and had the chance to teach others about what our family loves to do. Hopefully some of my bookstore friends will take the opportunity to take what they've learned and go find this cache before they leave to go home.
Beware of the barbed wire near the cache site and please be sure to hide the cache well after you return it to its hiding place. We have stocked this cache with frogs, snakes, and lizards, our signature trading items.
I hope everyone enjoys this cache at Daniel's Summit. It's beautiful here and we love this area.
July 2014 Update: I am back this year for the MSCSA conference and noticed that the most recent log said that the cache could not be found. It's true, it wasn't there. I have replaced the cache with a smaller container. It is now a "micro" cache, but it is hidden in the same location. I have upgraded the difficulty, only because the container is much smaller. Good luck!!
