Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden on the grounds of St. John United Church of Christ. This beautiful little church has roots back to 1843 when German settlers established this congregation.

The current church building was built in 1869. There is a beautiful cemetery with many of the original church members and their descendants.

This cache is hidden with the permission of the church leaders, so please be respectful of the church and its grounds as you search. Worship service is on Sunday morning so please come back if a service is going on or if there is a funeral or mourners paying their respects in the cemetery. Park in the lot.

Enjoy the cemetery with it's ornate tombstones, but please do not disturb the grave markers. The cache is NOT hidden on any grave markers.

This is not a Multicache by my design, but I do have a cool BONUS CACHE to share. Once you've found this cache, be sure to visit the following cache:

This second cache is hidden one-half mile west of your present location on Donges Bay Road on the location of St. John's original log church and burial ground from 1843. The cemetery is still owned by St. John and maintained by the Germantown Chapter of the VFW.
