Geocache Description:

Park alongside the road and take a stroll along the public access walking/bike path. First time finders prize available.

Legend has it that a farmer in the early 1900's spotted a large reptile-like sea monster emerge from Boag Lake and slither up the east bank into the trees near where this cache was placed late one spring day in the hunt for a lone cow that had gone astray from the herd. Although, not again seen on land since this time, there is still the odd tale of a sighting by canoeists and rowers who have reported seeing a large dark shadowy object under the surface of this small lake. So, during your hunt take a moment to relax on one of the nearby park benches overlooking the lake and maybe, just maybe you will get a glimpse of the legendary Boag Lake Monster.
