Floyd Casey Stadium is the Home of the Baylor Bears but perhaps
its most famous son is Mike Singletary. During his tenure with
Baylor, Singletary was named All-Southwest Conference three times
and an All-American twice while leading the bears to a Southwest
Conference Championship in 1980.
In the NFL Singletary gained a reputation for ferocity and
earned the nickname Samurai Mike and Iron Mike. He was selected to
10 Pro Bowls, was All-Pro eight times, and All-NFC every year from
1983 to 1991. He was also named Defensive Player of the Year in
1985, the year he led the Chicago Bears to a Superbowl win.
Floyd Casey has seen its share of other famous bears, with over
40 enjoying NFL careers. In your log, include your favorite NFL
