Geocache Description:

Ashdod forest is one of many pieces of conservation land in Duxbury MA.   Duxbury has made more effort than other South Shore towns in developing their portion of the Bay Circuit Trail.   Duxbury represents the southern terminus of the Trail, which snakes through the many interconnected open space parcels.  Click HERE for a more detailed map of the Trail in Duxbury.

This portion of the trail is new & incomplete.  The only access is from Congress St. (Rt 14); The outlet on Keene St. does not yet exist.  The forest is mature pine & hardwood, with ferns as the dominant groundcover.

The trail is marked with orange ribbons.  It is dry in mid-Summer but may be wet in Spring.  The blazes make it ideal for Winter; but you may have to dig if there's snow.
