Geocache Description:

The 4th of the REAL Crystal Skulls

In our Archeologic studies, The Kid, Beautiful Lady, and I have found lots of ancient artifacts (-sigh-,most of them are furnature in my living room). This Crystal Skull was discovered and catalogued, then left exactly where it was found, to be studied by future generations. We also uncovered a legend that we believe is tied to this amazing artifact.

The Story of Ahmou

In the Ancient times, there was a stone cutter known for his beautifully perfect bricks. From all over the world, temple builders would send messengers to Ahmou of Octotato, as Bellevue was known at the time, to procure the finest square and rectangular blocks to build their sacred monuments with. To say that Ahmou was popular would be an understatement. Its was about this time that the Octotatoian decided that he needed a challenge, so he began telling people that, in his words, "Nuzbh znxr Fgnghr." Loosely translated, this was, "I feel I need a new challenge, bricks are becoming too easy to make, so I'm going to build some statues and monuments."
Of course, his first statue did not meet his own expectations. It was completely angular and had no curves whatsoever. The people of the area, however loved it for it's simplicity and it's strength. He made several very large statues out of all kinds of materials. Wood, Bronze, Quartz, Sandstone, and even Coal were all mediums which he made beautiful, though angular, monuments to the seasons and elements of his time. His fame reached far and wide, and finally he was approached to build something much smaller. "Are you able to fashion, a skull that would represent your people to the 'ones who are searching?'"
