Sails Rock Traditional Cache
dinta: Have replaced this cache several times now so it's time to archive it. A pity as it's a fabulous location.

Perched high above Picnic Bay, Sails Rock or Tom Thumb, offers
panoramic views over Magnetic Island and across to Townsville.
Suggested route is a steep walk up to Picnic Bay water storage and
then a dirt trail up to the cache.
A plaque under Sails Rock details it's scaling by Frank Steele in
1927. He and a schoolmate balanced a log against the rock and
reached the top. He apparently left a note in a can at the top but
I definitely haven't verified that! Enjoy the views!
You are looking for a small Systema container. Cache contains the
usual trinkets plus a magnetic bear [naturally] and a tee for the
nearby golf course.
