Geocache Description:

Welcome to Albury Wodongas CITO event, coinciding with the worldwide CITO weekend.

Every year Geocaching.com hold an annual weekend, where the general caching community can hold there own local events to clean up certain areas that may need a bit of extra attention. This is where the geocaching fraternity can give a little something back to the community by helping to clean up.

The event will be listed at Mungabereena reserve, on the banks of the mighty Murray River.

Much of the area has been affected by high water after heavy rains over time, it would be great to get hold of the rubbish before it gets any further into the river system.

At 11:00am, this is where you will pick up your "registration" - garbage bag, and gloves (if required), a map of the areas to focus on.
Disposable latex gloves will be supplied, but if you have an allergy to latex, or gloves of your own you prefer to wear then please bring them along.

We will be holding a BBQ afterwards to reward all those for their efforts, and where the official log book can be signed upon on the return of a hopefully full garbage bag :)
At the end of the cleanup there will be a trailer or 2 provided for everyone to place their picked up rubbish. Larger items will be dealt with accordingly, details on the day.

The area only has a few seats, so if you plan to stay for a bit it is advisable to bring a chair and maybe something for shade if its a warm sunny day (2 shade tents will be on site). Toilet facilities are also near posted coords.
Pets are ok to come along, as long they are on lead.

Hope everyone can get behind a good cause, and if you are interested in collecting stats and icons etc on your GC.com accoiunt, there will be one for those who log a CITO attendance during the weekend on Geocaching.com

Be sure to check out another special local event the day before :)

See you all there !!!
