Geocache Description:

Come join myself, and a number of other local cachers for an easy walk around Kinsale Harbour on Saturday the 21st of August.

This event is designed to introduce some of the numerous new local geocachers to each other, and also to entise some 'foreign' cachers to the area!

This walk WILL NOT be strenuous, it will be a casual stroll around Kinsale, taking in the historic sights, and finding some new caches :)

The Event will take the form of a walk around the harbour, incorporating the two Star shaped forts on either side of the famous Kinsale Harbour - Charles Fort & James Fort.

Meeting Time at 10:00am.

Starting Time at 10:30am.

Meeting Location: The Spaniard Pub (outside)

Part 1 Walk from The Spaniard Pub, along the Scilly walkway, to Charles Fort.

Part 2 Spend time inside Charles Fort (Adult 4 Euro, Student 2 Euro. May be eligible for Group Rate, depending on numbers)

Part 3 Walk back towards Summercove - To The Bulman Bar & Restaurant for lunch.

Part 4 Walk back along the Scilly Walkway into Kinsale, and walk around the old medieval streets of Kinsale - taking in points of interest. [Possible to have lunch in the town too, depending on how much time we spend in Charles Fort]

Part 5 Return to car parking, and drive to James Fort (Which is on opposite side of harbour.)

From here, you are 'free' to do as you wish. The plan is to be finished for 3:00pm

In the meantime you can follow discussions on our Geocaching Forums

Please express your interest below, so I have an idea of how many people will be for lunch !
