Dørdalsknappen 1127 Traditional Cache

Get out of the car and go for a short hike !

Intro: In the summer a lot of people  travel the Peer Gynt Road from Skei to Golå/Fefor  by car (fee 2010 NOK 70 - cards accepted). During the drive I recommend a stop to visit a small peak called Dørdalsknappen, altitude 1127 masl.The hike up is slightly longer than 1 kilometer and the difference in altitude is small, just a little over 100 meters vertical. So - you can do it! .The little peak offers a wide view in good weather. You can see most of the Rondane masif and the southern part of the Jotunheimen range.

Parking: Two waypoints for parking is given, they are just around 100 meter apart. There are paths starting on the other side of the road by both of them. There is a number if paths zigzagging up to the peak, so you should be able to follow one of them or shift between them. There are some short, wet parts. You can do it in solid joggers, but I recommend light hiking boots.

The cache: is located a little north of the highest point. It is a 1 liter plastic jar (in a smashing green colour) with a screw on lid. It has the usual content.  The cache is not directly visible. Please replace the cover stones properly.  The cache is not winter safe, I think.
