You are looking for a camoed bison tube.
Cache takes you to the campus of Wartburg Theological Seminary. The main building of the school (tower building) is designed to look like Wartburg Castle in Germany. That is where Martin Luther went into hiding for a short time in the early 1500s. While there he translated the Bible into common German, fueling the beginning fires of the Protestant Reformation.
As the weather gets more and more humid, the stones of these buildings get darker in color, thus changing their appearance over the course of the year.
The statue at the center of the courtyard is a bronze replica of the original in Worms, Germany. That one is the center piece of Reformation Monument. Here Luther stands holding God's Word.
When asked to recant his writings and teachings at the threat of death, Luther replied, "Here I stand. I can do no other."
The only other replica of this statue is located in Clayton (St. Louis), MO. I hope you enjoy the unique "old-world" feeling of this "Iowa" location.
Cache is placed with permission.
