This historical place is a favorite goal for our rubber boat tours in the bay of Medulin.
Fascinating old stones you can find on this place. The Romans settled there from 1. century AD. Settlement is proved until 15. century AD. Exact information of the archiological dig you can find in front of the place on a large board. Information is in 3 Languages (Croatian, Italian and Engish).
It`s easy to sit on the stone walls and to dream about a man in toga eating olives and seeing the same sea. Nowadays you can see the port of Pomer on the other side of the bay - what the old Roman saw?
You can reach the cache by boat, by feet and by bike. "Drive in" is possible but I suggest to park the car on one of the several places in Medulin. Sometimes bathing tourists drive to the Roman beach by car - decide yourself. Swimming there is possible but do not swim across the bay. Heavy boat-traffic!
In June 2012 a found-it-log it occured to me. This beach is beautiful but it is fully covered with garbage. If you like you could combine this cache with a challenge: http://coord.info/CX515
