Geocache Description:

Since this place is a hidden treasure almost in our own back yard, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to make this our first hide. This is an easy walk, very family friendly and the cache is a few steps off the lower trail (green blaze). This is approximately a 15 minute walk from the entrance to the cache. Maps, picnic tables, charcoal grills and out houses are available at the entrance.

It's Christmas in July! A family favorite during Christmas is watching A Charlie Brown's Christmas. While taking a stroll in the early evening hours trying to beat the heat, we passed by this spot and said, 'This is it! Finally our first hide.' As a family we go out during the Christmas season in search of the perfect tree. Perfect is something that M&M as well as the 3 peanuts all have different views on and eventually when out in the cold in December, we compromise. Of course I usually pick out a tree that is normally just sticks and always comment that this is even better then what Charlie Brown picked.
