A peaceful camping spot on the western edge of Lake Hindmarsh. There used to be a lot of Regent parrots in the trees, although they seem to have moved somewhere else in the last few years.
When the cache was first placed you couldnt drive in here, but when the lake almost filled, in Jan 2011, the track was bulldozed and was wide open, but as the water level droped the number of people driving in here has dropped as well and the track is looking rather neglected.
Cache is 700 ml sistema type, but rather flat, so room for flat swaps only.
The turn off to the camping area is not signposted but the track starts from the Nhill/Rainbow road at coordinates
S 35o 37.857 E 141o 50.789,
Track is quite sandy in places but I have never had trouble in my 2wd. There is an area at the end for parking (or camping) but it is getting quite overgrown already..
