Geocache Description:

CACHE IS NOT AT POSTED COORDINATES
To get to the cache you'll need to do a little Orienteering.
I've been looking for a special cache/location for my 10th Kayak hide. I believe this one fits the bill. Cache is located in the Lower Bear River Reservoir area. You will need some sort of watercraft to do this one, keeping in mind the name of the cache.

Since this cache is in Scoobert's reign of caches, I think it only fitting to make this a Bearing cache also. From the posted coordinates you need to take a bearing of 42 degrees.....always true north. Follow that bearing and follow the name of the cache. Or you can take a bearing of 56 degrees from the parking coordinates, both will get you there. The parking coordinates are only a suggestion and a spot to use for the puzzle. There may be other places to park and launch along the lake.

How far you ask........well, if you can paddle 4 MPH from the parking coordinates, you should get there in 45 minutes. And from the posted coordinates, at 3 MPH, it will take you 40 minutes. That is if you could keep paddling. Once you get to the site just look for the tell-tale Geo-pile for the cache.

The Boy Scouts at Camp Winton may use this area during the summer from mid-June to early August on their canoeing treks, so you may run into them if you try this one during the weekdays. Best bet would be the weekends since the campers leave on Saturday morning and the next group arrives on Sunday afternoon. Please re-hide the cache well for that same reason...so the scouts don't stumble upon it.

There is a great picture of Lincoln for the FTF.....first drink is on me.
