A small traditional cache a short distance from All Saints Church, next to the derelict Annesley Hall. A beautiful site with lots of interesting features.
Car Parking is available a very short walk from the cache and close to All Saints Church and Annesley Hall.
The site was originally used for Pagan worship and was later converted for Christian worship during the Saxon period. The Saxon church was replaced by a Norman structure between 1150 and 1200. After the Norman construction came a Gothic expansion and this is the ruin you see now. A board in the parking area close to the site gives the full history.
The trees make the GPS jump around a little. A small GEOCACHING container with a screw lid approx 1.5 inches long . Please bring your own pen or pencil as there is no room for one.
Close to a beautiful place that we hope you visit and enjoy, we had origionally intendeed to put the cache in the Churchyard within view of the Hall but had to remove it. Any images will be appreciated.
I dare you to walk through the graveyard after dark!!!!............
