A trip down this farming valley in southeastern Indiana will make for an enjoyable experience and what better way to spend a humid, hot day than to get out on the water. You will have to bring your own canoe, kayak, fishing boat, or any other type of water craft to access these caches! We started at Laughery Creek Public Landing (GC2CDXV), near Hartford, IN and ended up at The Triple Whipple Bridge off 56, in Aurora, IN. You can put in or take out a canoe or kayak at either place.
This series of caches can only be reached by water. Some caches may be accessible by a motorboat or Ski-Do-type craft, but not all. If you do try to access any without a boat, you most assursedly will get wet!!! Any indication that it was reached by going through private property and your log will be immediately deleted! The containers are small and (hopefully) watertight and permanently attached so don’t forget your handy-dandy extraction tool. The caches were placed at 27 feet Cincinnati river stage level. Most should be above water at a river level of 28 feet or less (normal pool).
Hope you have as enjoyable time on the creek as we had!
