Out With the Old Traditional Cache
Snaggles: This one was under the upraised edge of the cement block that separates the curb from the grass. I guess with it being plowed all winter, the plow must have moved the cement block and crushed the cache, as the block now sits flush on the ground and there is no sign of the cache. Thanks to all who found this one.

This is a quick easy cache just off the tourism district.
The Niagara Falls Memorial Arena was built in 1950 and had a capacity of approximately 3,000. The arena was home to various ice hockey teams in the past, including the Niagara Falls Thunder and the Niagara Falls Flyers. It last served as the home of the Niagara Falls Canucks, a team in the Greater Ontario Junior B Hockey League.
The Niagara IceDogs played one game there in March of 2009 to commemorate the old barn, a fitting and terrific farewell gesture to one of the grand old barns of Ontario.
The Niagara Falls Memorial Arena is scheduled to be demolished to make room for a parking lot upon completion of the new four-pad arena
The cache itself is a small 35mm case with no room for trades.
Note- This is an unattended parking lot where the Parking fee is $5 but you will have plenty of time to find the cache without paying. Niagara Falls has Commissionaires who patrol these lots throughout the city and ticket vehicles without the slip from the machine on their dashboard. You have to purchase a ticket from the machines on site if you wish to leave your vehicle unattended for more that a few minutes. As you can park right next to this cache, that should not be a problem.
