Geocache Description:

Got a yellow Livestrong bracelet showing your support of a cure for cancer? How about a pink breast cancer bracelet, a red heart disease awareness bracelet or - if irony is your cause - a black "nihilism" bracelet? Then you are in luck if you decide to take a nice hiking trip into Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park to commune with a cache full of such trendy bracelets.

What did you think about the whole elastic bracelet trend? Take one from the cache to wear or unload a few of your own into the cache for someone else to wear. Hopefully you will find a message that speaks to you here.

This cache is starting out with 26 elastic bracelets from our home collections, including 2 new Livestrong bracelets and a few bracelets from our Chickasaw Cultural Center in Oklahoma.

The cache is along Powder Mill Trail between our State Park Treasure cache and Kealia's Uncle Greasy cache. It is only 20' north of the trail. More hints below.

Some of us still like those elastic wristbands, and wear them now and then to make a statement about something, even though the trend is kind of over now. Why not? It's fun ;)

Note of trivia: The cache container and some of the SWAG comes from our very first geocache hide Bonny Doon Redwoods, which was archived July 2008. Recycle, reuse !

Sept. 22, 2010 - Visited cache and 16 bracelets remain. Thanks to those who also are leaving bracelets!
April 21, 2013 - Restocked to total 8 bracelets. There are lots of mosquitoes right now. Bring protection!
