1992 gjorde arkeologerna vid Norrbottens museum en första utgrävning av en 6 000 år gammal stenåldersboplats som hittats vid Lillberget, norr om Överkalix. 2004 påbörjades en kopia av boplatsen att konstrueras i centrala Överkalix, som två år senare stod klar. Lillbergets fornby består av sju hyddor, så kallade grophus, av varierande storlek. Byggnadsmaterialet består av trä, näver och torv.
Klättra inte på hustaken. Cachen är något större än en filmrulle.

By 1992, archaeologists at the Norrbotten Museum made a first excavation of a 6000 year old Stone Age settlement found at Lillberget, north of Överkalix. 2004 a copy of the settlement began to be constructed in central of Överkalix, who two years later was completed. Lillberget fornby consists of seven huts, known as “grophus”, of varying size. Building material consist of wood, bark and peat.
Don´t climb on the roofs of the houses. The cache is a bit larger than a film canister.
