Reviving a cache by Wild_Thornberrys that disappeared during the hurricanes. Just too good of a location to be forgotten! Boots needed during rainy season.
To reach the cache take Hwy 90 into Pace, then go north on 197/Chumuckla Highway to downtown Chumuckla. Turn left/west onto 182, go past Chumuckla Elementary School, all the way to the end of the road. Take a right on Chumuckla Springs Road and immediately look to your left for a red clay road. This is Webb Landing Road. Take this dirt road 4.8 miles until it dead ends at the boat ramp. This road is normally in good shape, but after a hard rain you may need a large truck, jeep or 4X4. There is a small loop at the end of the road. Park and walk from here. The cache is located in the Escambia River Water Management Area and you may encounter deer, armadillos and other wildlife, including alligators and snakes near the cache. The cache is a small container with room for small trackables. Please secure the cache back in the tree when you are done, as you will be close to the Escambia River and flood waters could wash it away. Finally, you will need mosquito repellent when searching for the cache in warm weather. **FTF - Congratulations to fljhawk for another FTF**
