Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden near the Tsuchizaki Station

Tsuchizaki Station is a railway station on the JR East Ou Main Line.
It locates in Akita Japan.
And train factory is also located in the neighborhood.
This factory is manufacturing and maintaining various trains, and manufacturing the clear trash boxes of all JR station in Japan.

War devastated this area on August 14, 1945.
The air raid of 134 B-29s attacked the Nippon Oil Company refinery here, from midnight to the early dawn of August 15.
This was reportedly the farthest-range and also the last bombing mission in World War II, coming only hours before Japan announced its surrender.
There is a small park near the station.
Please use it as a rest place when a little tired from the geocaching.
