Geocache Description:

This bison bone container is located just off the Wabash Trace near Coin, Iowa. Depending on the season there may be some bushwacking involved to get to the cache location.

This particular spot was chosen because it used to be a train trestle. You can see the remnants of it around the trail and if you look across the highway you can see where the dirt is being removed where a train track used to be.

On the shed across the highway you will find a painting of what the area may have looked like in its prime.

This cache was hidden on August 1, 2010. It was on this day that my brother Travis and 3,000+ other Iowa National Guard troops left for Mississippi to begin their training for their deployment to Afghanistan.
