Not quite at The Strangles, but a stretch of the coast known as Voter Run, which consists of amazing folded rock formations which are just like molten toffee

The Strangles is a rather foreboding name for the small boulder-strewn beach just west of the triangular Samphire Rock. Many a ship has foundered here and a look at this coast in a winter gale will indicate why. The descent to the beach must be one of the longest and trickiest around as it lies 223 metres (731 feet) below the clifftop. Best seen from the cliffs, where you can make out the Samphire Rock, Northern Door Arch and the headland of Cambeak. There is No Swimming permitted at The Strangles and the return trip up the cliff path is an arduous one.
If you really fancy going for it, it is signposted a few hundred yards further up the path..

CITO Coastpath Guardian to remain in this coastpath series between Tintagel & Crackington Haven. Pick it up by all means, but place only in caches along THIS bookmark list. Thanks!

The paths can be slippery in wet weather. Keep dogs & small children on a lead.
