Lesson
EliPierce (1762-1852) was born in England in 1762. This 14-year-old
British immigrant enlisted in January 1776, with Colonel Zippett's
Rhode Island Minute Men. Pierce was furloughed in June 1776, and
subsequently transferred to Captain Soper's Company of Colonials
where he served three years. Pierce was present at the battle of
Monmouth.
Pierce eventually moved to Watertown, Wisconsin, and it was there,
at the age of 90, he died on December 26, 1852.
Eli is buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in the City of Whitewater.
His grave is located on the right side of the cemetery about two
thirds of the way up the hill. There is an upright stone government
marker within a grave area surrounded by low stone pillars and
chain. The stone has a SAR medallion attached.
The puzzle
At the posted cords read the sign to get cords for the final.
Find Eli's age when he married Polly, put a zero between those
digits and subtract from the north cords.
Add 22 to the number of children they had and add to the west
cords.
Information
The cemetery that the posted cords lead you to is a closed
cemetery. The gate is locked by a chain, however sometimes it is
open. I request that you bring a flag with you and if the gate is
open please place it by the historical sign. Thank You.

The WSQ in the title of this cache is an acronym for
Wisconsin Spirit Quest. Wisconsin geocachers have adopted this
acronym to designate their cemetery caches. As this is classified
as a cemetery cache please note it is NOT hidden on any grave
marker or site. If there is a service going on, or folks are
visiting their loved ones when you arrive please be respectful and
come back at a later time. Your understanding and compassion for
