Geocache Description:

Overlooking the Kyles of Bute and Tighnabruaich, The Duin, is a wonderful vantage point to savour the views over Rothesay and south to Inchmarnock and Arran. The short, but steep, climb to the cache is worth every step.

Ample roadside parking is available at N 55° 54.699 W 005° 13.711. On the opposite side of the road you will see a set of steps leading into a fenced woodland. (Remember to close the gate behind you).

A short distance up this path you will notice a faint, but defined, path which heads up the hill following the fence line. It is steep and grassy so suitable footwear should be worn. Follow this path up the hill, bearing to your left as you near the summit. At the time of placing the cache, there was an abundance of the dreaded bracken so take care not to wander into the heathery widerness! I suspect it will be easier to find your way up between September and May when the bracken is less prolific.

The cache is a small lock-n-lock box, large enough for small swaps, TBs etc

Remember to take your camera and a picnic to savour the view!
