Easy stroll from the village of Carrick Castle, Argyll, Scotland
Traditional cache in a Snaplock Tupperware type box filled with general trinkets and toys. Easy 20 minute stroll from Carrick Castle, Argyll with no ascents to speak of. Otherwise if you approach it from Ardentinny it is towards the end of an easy/moderate 4 mile forest and loch side walk. (It is NOT a circular walk so will be 8 miles all round if you cannot arrange return travel to Ardentinny from Carrick Castle) The walk is signposted from the car park in Ardentinny. This walk does have some short climbs but nothing major and is all on good forest roads and tracks. The walk takes you along the side of the beautiful Loch Long and Loch Goil with some of the best scenery and abundant wildlife to be found in the area. I would suggest suitable foot ware and wet weather clothes as this is Scotland after all and the weather can be 'changable'!
Please Note: If you approach it from Carrick Castle by car please use the free car park at Carrick Castle as there is no parking available beyond the village.
