Farndon is a small village on the Fosse Way or A46 Roman road, 2.5 miles (4 km) south-west of Newark-on-Trent, on the banks of the River Trent.
The name Farndon means "Fern Hill".
The cache was placed here as our first foray into owning one so we hope you enjoy looking for it. We recommend looking around after doing so and stopping for some refreshments along the way.
When placed the Cache contained a log book, two brand new travel bugs "The Tortoise and The Hare" and some children's treasures. I have not placed a pen/pencil primarily as caches I have visited with these items generally dont work so always carry my own writing impliment.
First to find the cache can take the appropriate trophy for their endeavours!
Please move the Travel Bugs on (and if taking both drop them in seperate (well frequented caches) - thanks
Good Luck
From the car park this is only a 15 minute walk but you may want to extend it by following the walks around Farndon Ponds.
Cache placed with the kind permission of Farndon Parish Council.
Cache reset on 5th September after disappearing! Please hide well near ground zero when found
