Geocache Description:

One of a series of caches set on Balmashanner Hill, known in Farfar as Bummie or Boamie.

This cache is set in one of the sections of the old slatefield quarry which dominate this side of the hill. Much of Forfars older houses have roofs covered with slates from here as well as the 1850s guard house at Edinburgh Castle.

Nowadays part of the quarry is used as a climbing wall

Cache is a 1.6 litre square lock and lock box
