Geocache Description:


I first need to say that there is no reason to search near the Highway!!! The cache is at least 20 feet away from it, Remeber safety first!

This cache is across the Highway from where a locally famous seafood restaurant used to be. I grew up on Wilmington Island and can remember going to Williams after church on Sundays. This restaurant was started in the 1930's and was very popular with everyone in the area as well as tourists going to Tybee. Unfortunately Williams burned down a few years back and the area where the restaurant was is now a parking lot for a gambling boat.

Near this cache, you will find the old neon road sign for Williams. All that is left from a Savannah institution.

This is a difficult hide. I made the container myself and have not seen one before like it. Please leave it as found after the log has been signed.
