Starting at the edge of the pavement near the big rock, with your GPSr and stopwatch ready, you have three minutes to pass this test with a “B”….you’ll get an “A” for under 60 seconds. I’m sorry, but if it takes you over ten minutes….you get a big red “F”….ok, ok “D-“….
Wattever (sorry…couldn’t help myself) you do, DO NOT venture out into the ninth fairway of Truckee’s only community nine hole golf course, and risk getting beaned by a little white ball, not to mention being put on double secret probation. The trees here shield gz quite well. The container is a rather large “small”.
Pull into “The Rock” commercial center from the roundabout and park out back. If you’re hungry there’s a Thai restaurant, sushi bar, pizza parlor, and Truckee’s only local micro brewery and pub with some very interesting suds and good food.
