Geocache Description:

Along the Red Trail at the Rock Ridge Picnic area in Rocks State Park.

Park in the rear of the upper parking lot to find the trail.

Hidden for the MGS Summer picnic, it's an easy walk along the red trail.

History has it that the Susquehannock Indians used this area for many things, hunting, farming, ceremonial events, but the area was also used as a burial ground too. Not too many folks know of this, but along the ridge many of the leaders of this group of Indians were buried here. No one knows exactly where, we may never know, but it's still an interesting part of the local history.

There is a service charge ($2/MD resident; $3 out-of-state) to enter the picnic areas April through October. Seniors and children in car seats are free.
