Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the woods behind the UPJ campus. Trails are visible, but some are overgrown with tall grass. There is a little walking in the woods and crossing a creek.

There used to be a small chapel in the woods behind UPJ. The foundation still exists and much of the stone is still lying there. This cache is a small, clear, plastic container that includes a log book, pens and two photos of the chapel when it was still standing. We had heard that the chapel was built by a man for his daughter's wedding, and that other weddings occurred there as well. If you have any information about the chapel PLEASE share it!

Park behind the Living and Learning Center at UPJ or by the athletic fields. The hike is about 1 mile. You will see some mowed trails by the athletic fields, follow them, but eventually you will be on the overgrown trails. Sometimes the trails will fork, choose the road less taken.
