You can follow the track either side of the river leading into Currie Wood. This ancient woodland is being restored to native woodalnd after being planted with conifers in the 1960s. It's a lovely quiet place to get away to and half way round the trail there is a bridge. Nearby is the lair of the Borthwick Booga Man...
If you have found the road in then you've done the hard part. The walk is a circular route up and down the valley within the wood. Paths are generally in good condition after recent drainage work and repairs. Some sections of boardwalk over wetter ground.
