Nagylók is a little village (population approx. 1100) in Fejér County, in the middle of Mezoföld, between Sárosd és Sárbogárd (my hometown at this moment). The village has two lakes, Lóki-lake and Piroska-lake. These are ideal places for fishing (swimming is prohibited).
Piroska-lake is named of a shepherd’s daughter (Piroska). That time the lake’s name was different. Her father warned about the “evil” lake, warned her to be careful. Unfortunately the girl died in the lake.

At Piroska-lake you can find a trail named Nagylóki Iringó trail which is a 15 km long trail. It’s aim to show landscape, protected birds and plants of the area. Every summer a trip is organized here to walk along the trail in daytime and at night.
