Geocache Description:

är-b?-'re-t?m tres

n., pl. -tums or -ta (-t?).
A place where an extensive variety of woody plants are cultivated for scientific, educational, and ornamental purposes.
[Latin arboretum, a place grown with trees, from arbor, tree.]

Landis Arobretum

It has been a few of years since I first came across the Landis Arboretum. What has changed since the last two caches I placed here were activated is that I have been listening to public radio quite a bit. One of the offerings is a call-in show with questions about plants, trees, and all issues with flora for the experts that have donated their time for the show. I have listened a few times and heard it mentioned that a geocaching class is offered with the intent of taking people to the caches in the arboretum. A quick search meant they were going to find the ones I had previously placed. Some of them potentially had issues so I wanted to check on them to ensure all would have a good time. Why not double the fun with two more caches, then?!?

It was quite a hot day when I placed these and I had not been out with any regularity this summer. These factors meant that I was huffing through here, forgetting how the trails wind their way all throughout here. My cache maintenance and new cache placement quickly logged me about four miles. How many will you log?
