Geocache Description:

Hope you enjoy a bit of a walk up the Dinosour Ridge trail to learn some more local history.

Teepee, tepee, Tipi or t?ípi ~ any way you spell it, this location provides a very interesting peek into the past.

For hundreds (perhaps thousands!) of years, Native American tribes including Utes, utilized the field below the ridge as a camping spot. This periodic camping with traditional round-based portable housing caused changes in both the plants and soil in the area, which show as permanent large circles.

Depending upon the time of year, height of vegetation, angle of view, etc., you can often still see the circles in the field below the road.

OR ~ I suppose, like the concretions, this could be an alien influence similar to Crop Circle. You be the judge. After all, as this submission is a joint Penguin-Furon creation, anything is possible. LOL
