We really like this part of the trail system along the bayous here, but our previous cache kept getting muggled. We decided we would place our first letterbox hybrid cache out here and see how it goes!
This cache is located in a part of the bike path that twists and turns through some woods and swampy area. You do not need to access the gated community to reach the site of the cache - it is an offshoot of the path along the bayou.
When you go to the above coordinates, you will find a distinctive mark (currently painted red) in the pavement at your feet. From this spot you should walk across the bridge until you reach the next mark in the pavement. While standing on this mark with your back to the bridge, take five to six paces (a pace is two normal strides) directly to your right. There you will find the cache!
Inside the cache we have a stamp and a stapled book of index cards for folks that would like to use their letterbox stamp. We also have a regular geocaching log for folks to sign. There are a few pathtags as well! The cache is large enough for some TBs and other items so feel free to drop them here.
