Geocache Description:

Quick cache in a beautiful location you should know about.

This is a beautiful little trail right in the middle of Thousand Oaks, that surprisingly few people know about. It's an easy trail, a little over 2 miles from the parking lot if you do the entire loop ( I would suggest that you do). There is a nice little park below, with plenty of open space, and a playground for kids. As you go through the gates, and up to the main trail you'll want to go right to do the loop, and left to go the shortcut. If you go to the right you'll follow a creek, and enjoy a great little trail. At the cache site you can continue up the the hill to the highest point of the trail. There are picnic benches, and a cactus garden. I would suggest going back down, and continue following the trail to the hill and go up from there, you'll end up in the same spot while seeing the rest of what the park has to offer. Take your time and explore the rare fruit orchard and the butterfly garden. I have loved and enjoyed this place for many years. Please respect the garden, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Your looking for a cylindrical container with a screw top lid. Please put back exactly how you found it. Be careful of "muggles" cache is in a fairly visible location. Please trade fair. Thank you, have fun, and enjoy. P.S- Gates close at 5pm. P.S.S-It looks like the park has decided to let the trail that once connected the upper and lower halves to revegetate making access to this cache more difficult than it previously was. Please be mindful and take the path of least resistance so as not to disturb the habitat any more than necessary.
