This cache is in a small container in Richfield’s newest park, the Eastwood Preserve. Cache should be a quick grab from the parking lot, if you park at the Streetsboro Road gravel parking area. Park is open from dawn to dusk. Fishing is allowed in the “catch & release” pond and there are plenty of walking trails. Please respect the community gardens.
This is our very first cache. We have placed it in honor of one of Richfield’s centenarians Roberta. She is a fabulous person who really enjoys life.
Unforgettable “Roberta-isms"
• She once was a North Dakota spelling bee champion –“ I can spell like H-E-L-L”
• “I love life, but I never thought I would live to be 100. So now I am shooting for 200.”
• Asked about her longevity – “I just never died. ”
• Any hobbies? “I used to collect stamps and crap like that.”
• “I’m a Catholic-Protestant. It’s a new religion I made it up.”
Update April 2011 -Roberta passed away earlier this year. Rest in peace dear sweet lady!
