Chipmunks are getting along great in the habitat around this cache, it seems to be chipmunk heaven! They were pretty curious about me once I stood still for a bit. They sure seem to enjoy the downed logs and stumps in the area, there are all sorts of chipmunk lunch scraps on near every stump around. Lots of deer sign in the area as well! This area provides a unique habitat that is surrounded by the areas typical dense fir trees. Take Road 2651 south off of Hwy. 26 about an eight of a mile to an unnamed road on the left which will lead you to an open gravel area near the cache. Terrain is level and not too thick but still best to wear pants. This is a pretty obvious hiding spot, but nearby trees can mess with GPSr's.
