Chemistry & Ciphering 101 Mystery Cache

CarolinaTrombonethe forgetful chemistry teacher made a big mistake one day in the lab when he made the following solutions, but neglected to label them. CarolinaTrombone is usually very meticulous about the order for which he lists things and he was this time he just neglected to lab them with their names just with the numbers 1-6. The solutions are as follows:

·         HNO₃

·         NaCl

·         NaBr

·         Na₂CO₃

·         AgNO₃

·         H₂O

In order not to endure fines by the EPA for disposal of an unknown chemical, he needs help.

A common way of figuring this out is to systematically react the chemicals together and hopefully a pattern will emerge. Luckily when the 6 solutions were reacted on a grid a pattern did emerge. Two solutions turned a yellowish color, one turned white and one solution produced bubbles. After a while the yellow and white solutions seemed to have a yellow and white powder settle out on the bottom. Below is a grid with the results.
