Second Sitting Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Swan-of-Avon: Had intended to temporarily move cache whilst location being used as a camp by an itinerant but only suitable alternative is further away than rules allow so I am relocating it permanently to new location and archiving this one.

Geocache Description:

One of a growing series along the Stratford canal and into the village of Wilmcote.

A lovely spot which ,as the nearby plaque shows, won an award for its' beauty.
You are looking for a nano so bring a pencil. Please,Please re-place with great care. Some stealth may be needed in the Summer months.
I am not giving a clue as yet because of the ease with which the others have been found so far. I will review this if necessary.

Have a look at the nearby lock edges and note the big sandstone blocks. It is likely these came from Kenilworth Castle when the canal was being constructed in the late 18th and early 19 centuries at a time when little value was placed on the preservation of such historic sites.

See if you can spot the weather vane on the top of the nearby lock cottage!

As before, watch the geokids with the canal ever present, but the geomuts will love the opportunities for lots of swims.

Bring some bread for the ever hungry ducks.

Well done ( yet again) to Jim Jinks FTF. Come on you lot. Several more to place, don't let Jinks keep beating you to them. ; )
