You can find the cache by parking at any of the numerous parking areas at Field pond. Field Pond parking areas will lead you on a direct route to the cache.
You can also use a car spot at the Skug River reservation parking area. This way you can start at Field Pond and finish the cache at the Skug River parking area.
This cache is aptly named. You will have to cross through water at all three stages to find the cache. Stage 2 is the most difficult, you have to traverse across two long semi-submerged logs to access the cache.
Stage 1. This is a well hidden/camouflaged, small, 1 1/2 inch container hidden in a hole in a small tree. An experienced cacher should not have any trouble finding it.
Stage 2: This is a 2 inch brightly colored, sun-caching, sparkly container at eye level. An easy find by eye only. Do NOT remove cache, you can just unscrew it and leave the top in place.
Coming in from Field Pond, just follow the trails to your right, your GPS should lead you to the trail along the swamp. You may need thigh high waders at this stage.
Final: you should have no trouble finding it. It is a plastic jar painted bright green and covered by two pieces of old tree bark.
